Synergy between vitamin D3 and vitamin K2 for bone structure! Vitamin D3 also contributes to normal calcium absorption and promotes normal muscle function. Typically, vitamin D deficiency is due to insufficient sunlight exposure (care home residents, dark skinned individuals, people who spend more time indoors, frequent use of high SPF sunscreens (for Sun Protection Factor)). Whenever the skin is exposed to sunlight, the human body produces its own vitamin D, and that’s exactly why vitamin D is also known as the sunshine vitamin.
